CODE OF PRACTICE

Code Of Practice Surveys

The Code of Practice applies to vessels of up to 24 metres load line length, that are in commercial use and carry no more than paying guests or trainees.

The Code sets out parameters that cover the design and fit-out of the vessel, its equipment, range of operation and all matters relating to safety.

The Code of Practice Survey must be carried out by a surveyor who is accepted by and registered with the authority that is issuing the Code of Practice Certificate.

The survey will assess the vessel for its compliance with the Code, and will include an out of water survey.

Jim Pritchard is authorised by the IIMS as a Coding Surveyor. He can also advise with regard to work, equipment and approximate costs that may be required before the owners apply for Coding.
